Most paedophiles in UK are of Pakistani origin, says Sajid Javid

Nothing unusual. Just usual news.

Read the boring news below:

UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid on Wednesday said that a high-proportion of men involved in gang-based child exploitation in the country are of Pakistani descent, according to The BBC.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4 Today, Javid – who has Pakistani heritage – said that ignoring the ethnicity of abusers gives “oxygen” to extremists.
The home secretary had faced backlash for a tweet earlier this year referring to “sick Asian paedophiles”.
He said he wanted officials researching the causes of gang-based exploitation to leave “no stone unturned”.

Asked by the British-Pakistani novelist Kamila Shamsie, who was guest-editing the programme, whether he was concerned that his comments may have fuelled hate crimes, he said he was “very much aware of the need for politicians to be careful with their language”.
Grooming gangs have recently been convicted in Huddersfield, Oxford, and Rotherham.
“There could be – I’m not saying that there are – there could be some cultural reasons from the communities that these men came from that could lead to this kind of behaviour,” Javid said.
The home secretary has called for research into the “characteristics and contexts” of gangs abusing children, arguing that ignoring issues such as ethnicity is more likely to fuel the far-right.

Pakistan to pay China $40 billion in 20 years

Tags
This is what happens when you don't know the difference between loan and investment.

Pakistanis were jumping like inebriated monkeys all over internet telling everybody the Chinese 'investments'. According to latest report Pakistan will have to pay $40 billion to China in 20 years in shape of repayments of debt and dividends on a $26.5 billion investment.

Atleast now the Pakistanis will understand it was debt, not investment.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will pay $40 billion to China in 20 years in shape of repayments of debt and dividends on a $26.5 billion investment under flagship China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), documents of the Ministry of Planning and Development reveal.
Out of $39.83 billion – to be precise – the debt repayments of energy and infrastructure projects amount to $28.43 billion. The rest of $11.4 billion will be paid in shape of dividends to the investors, showed the official estimates.

This suggests that unlike the claims of $50 billion to $62 billion CPEC investment, the actual investment likely to remain half of the initially announced investment figures.

The government loans of $5.9 billion have been signed at an interest rate ranging from 2% to as high as 5.2%. There are three government loans totaling $774 million that have been obtained at 5.2% rate.

However, Pakistan can only sustain these repayments by enhancing its exports. In case the country still remains unable to increase exports despite removal of energy bottlenecks, it will be difficult to manage these repayments.
Assuming that Pakistan-IMF three-year relation will begin from fiscal year 2019-20, the country will repay $4.2 billion to China during this period on account of debt and dividend payments.
In the next fiscal year, Pakistan will return $1 billion to China that will reach to $1.9 billion during the last year of the IMF programme. The CPEC repayments will peak to $3.23 billion in 2025-26 and from that year it will start reducing and ending at $306 million in 2037-38, according to the documents.

Chinese don't believe in any free rides. Earlier a Chinese politician made a statement that "CPEC is not a gift". Pakistan should have taken that statement seriously.

Drama Queen barred from exam for wearing hijab

Umaiyah Khan, the drama queen
A drama queen hijabi was barred from taking NET examination. Now the drama queen is  crying about her fundamental rights. Perhaps she has been taught that everybody around her is required to bow down to her demans - legit or not.
Sadly for her the administrators don't care about her religious views and gave her the choice take examination after removing hijab or leave.

She chose to leave.

It was her choice to leave instead of taking examination and now she is blaming the officials for not taking care of her religious sentiments.

NEW DELHI: Umaiyah Khan, a student of Jamia Islamia University who is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA), has alleged that she was not allowed to appear for University Grants Commission –National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) exam for wearing Hijab.

Speaking to ANI, she said, “I went for NET exam last week in Rohini area. I reached the exam centre but did not get the permission to sit for exam and the reason was Hijab. Both male and female invigilators did not allow me to sit for exam. I even requested the senior officials but was not allowed.”

Further substantiating her point, Khan added, “I have shown all my identities. Yet, they ordered that I remove my Hijab then sit for exam. I cannot do that because this is my religion, I cannot remove it. I requested them to allow me but they did not let me.”

Another person who belong to the same religion said,
“I condemn this unfortunate incident. Education and appearing for exam is every student’s right. You cannot take that right because he or she is practicing a particular religion,” said Prof Amirul Hasan Ansari, Director of Management studies, Jamia Islamia University.
Nobody took her rights, it was her choice to leave. Her religion doesn't ask her to do pursue a degree. Why bother anyway?

ICC orders PCB to pay 60 per cent of cost claimed by BCCI in compensation case

Tags
The jokers running PCB didn't see it coming. They raised a $70 million claim against BCCI but instead of getting paid they have been asked to pay majority of the legal cost.

The ICC, whose Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC) had last month ruled in the BCCI's favour and dismissed the $70 million compensation claim against it, today delivered another blow to the PCB.
The global cricket governing body, in a press release today, announced that its DRC panel "has determined that the PCB should pay 60 per cent of the BCCI’s claimed costs as well as the administrative costs and expenses of the Panel" itself.
Furthermore, the ICC said that its judgement on the matter is "binding and non-appealable".
