What do Kashmiris want ?

Tags

I am sure you have asked this question.Who can answer this question better than the man who lost his son to the insurgency - Muzaffar Wani - father of Burhan Wani.

Dawn.com
Our aim is that this is Allah’s land and his law should be enforced here. We will make the constitution of Kashmir on the basis of the Quran and Sunnat [deeds and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)]. There will be 100% peace.
And securing the rights of our Sikh and Hindu brothers is important in Islam. Our Sikh, Hindu, Christian brothers will get more security than they have today.
We have to show the entire world that the law of Sharia – which we will run here – is not terrorism, it is the religion of peace. We want to show the world that Islam is a religion of peace and doesn’t want terrorism. We should just get the opportunity.
If we remain with the Constitution of India, we will not get the chance to show the people what Islam really is. They just defame us. They do the acts of terrorism and defame Muslims instead.

They picked up AK 47 to prove that their religion is all about peace.
To prove that they care for the minorities, they chased the Kashmiri Pandits out of their motherland.
Such peace loving souls. It's entirely the fault of Kashmiri Pandits.

Whatever it was or it is, it was never Freedom that they wanted.

Mayawati asked to return public money used to build her statues

Tags
BSP supremeo Mayawati has been asked by the Supreme Court to return the public money she used to build her statues and elephants, her party's elction symbol.

This is the first time a party leader has been asked to return public money by the apex court. Mayawati's only credential is her birth certificate which she has used successfully several times and even became the Chief Minister of UP once. Comparing her with Sardar Patel is ridiculous. Sardar Patel - the Iron Man of India accomplished the daunting task of uniting more than hundred kingdoms into dominion of India including the Hyderabad.
The Supreme Court Friday said BSP chief Mayawati should deposit public money used for erecting statues of herself and elephants, the party's symbol, at public places in Uttar Pradesh to the state exchequer.
The remarks were made by the apex court which was hearing a petition filed in 2009 by an advocate who had alleged that about Rs 2,000 crore was used from the state budget for 2008-09 and 2009-10, when Mayawati was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, for stalling her statues and BSP's symbol at different places.
It was contended that public money cannot be utilised for creating own statues and for propagating the political party.
On May 29, 2009 the court had issued show cause notice to the Uttar Pradesh government and Mayawati for using the public money for installing her statues and party's symbol at parks in Lucknow and Noida, adjacent to the national capital.

IAF's fighting abilities affected due to association with HAL

Tags

HAl is a typical "Sarkari" company with little to no love for what work they do. HAL has failed to deliver on it's promises and it's poor performance is affecting country's security on a large scale.

Not only the poor performance of HAL has affected the fighting ability of Indian Air Force, it has also resulted in the loss of life of 17 IAF test pilots and engineers in air accidents.

It's seems the time has come to shift the responsibility of defense manufacturing to private sector from government run HAL. The performance of private sector in energy, retail and automobile industry is very well known. Private sector may bring a merit based culture instead of socialism based culture of HAL.

The Indian Air Force’s efforts to support the state-owned aircraft maker Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) has affected its fighting capabilities, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa said on Friday.
IAF has only cooperated with HAL; “as a service; we have made concessions for HAL, but will the enemy make any concession for us when we face them in battle?” he questioned.
....
The air chief was delivering the 10th ‘Jumbo’ Majumdar International Conference at the Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS) in New Delhi and was responding to criticism about the IAF’s alleged dislike for Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, the indigenous fighter made by HAL.
...
A HAL spokesperson declined comment on the air chief’s comments which come at a time when the state-owned aircraft maker is in financial distress of some sort and also when it is in the middle of the controversy surrounding the government’s Rafale fighter deal.
A HAL official who spoke on condition of anonymity asked: “Doesn’t IAF allow concessions and modifications to foreign vendors? Concessions are also given to Defence Research Development Organisation and the Aeronautical Development Agency. Why is HAL being singled out?”
Putting HAL on the mat, ACMl Dhanoa said upgrading of one squadron of Jaguar deep strike bombers, nearly two squadrons of Su-30MKi, India’s mainstay fighters, and one squadron of Mirage-2000, a multi-role fighter , all work being done by the state-owned firm, was far behind schedule. “Additional production of Su-30 is delayed by over two years and LCA production commitment (has been delayed) by over six years,” he added.
